WHY INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN MATTERS.
At a time where distance learning is critical, not all online learning is created equal. In order for learning to take place, it needs to be relevant and impactful to the specific needs of the learner. The same content should be presented to different audiences in very different ways, based on their needs and objectives to make the transfer of knowledge successful. Which means we work smarter instead of harder!
LEARNING THEORY
I earned my MS in Instructional Design and Technology where I learned the different principles of adult learning. The methods that resonate most with me in how I develop my online learning content are the ADDIE Model and Gagne's 9 Events of Instruction. By using these methods, we can develop a learning curriculum that will meet the needs of your learners and keep them engaged!
